Fish fry / chepa vepudu Andhra style |
Ingredients (for marination):
- Fish slices (cleaned and sliced): 10 (1.5 kg of fish)
- Lemons : 3
- Garam malsala : 2 table spoon
- Coriander powder : 2 table spoon
- Chilli powder : 3 table spoon
- Ginger garlic paste : 2 table spoon
- Salt : to taste
- Turmeric : 1/2 table spoon
- Oil : 1 table spoon
Procedure:
- Wash and clean the fish slices with the crystal salt to make sure that dirt is removed from the outer surface of the fish.
- Take all the ingredients and mix it with the lemon juice and oil (Do not add water). Make it as paste.
- Apply this paste to the fish thoroughly and marinate it for minimum one hour.
- Now take a pan and pour some oil to an extant that fish slices are half floated. Heat the pan.
- Once the oil is heated enough, fry the fish pieces in the on pan at medium flame( It helps in cooking the fish slices) till it reaches dark brown color.
- Serve it with onion slices and lemon.
