vurlagadda kurma / potato masala curry - Andhra style |
Ingredients:
- Potatoes - 4 medium sized
- Tomatoes - 2
- Green chilies - 4
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 to 2 tbsp
- Chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tbsp
- Grated Coconut powder - 3 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 5
- mustered,jeera - 1 tbsp
- oil - 3 tbsp
Procedure:
- Boil the potatoes moderately and peal of the skin.
- In a fried pan, put mustered,jira and curry leaves.Then fry the chillies,sliced onions till it reaches golden brown color.
- Now add the sliced tomatoes and boil it on low flame for 5 minutes.
- Add ginger garlic paste,salt,chili powder and garam masala powder and fry it.
- Now add a cup of water and the potatoes and boil it on low flame for 5 minutes.
- Once the potatoes are well boiled, add grated coconut powder then stir it well and boil it on low flame for another 5 minutes(add water for desirable amount of gravy and mild of taste). Now garnish with coriander and serve it.
